A new bike for Harrison

Another treat that Harrison got this weekend was a new trike. He was getting too tall for his old bike, so we went out at bought him a new Diego tricycle. He is very excited about his bigger boy bike. Harrison is also a Mr. Fix-it. He loves to take any key and try to tighten screws or pretend to fix things. He could spend hours at the cupboard door, trying to turn the screws. Here he is making sure that his bike is ready to go!

Harrison dancing

Harrison's new favorite thing to do is dance. Rob and I took him to a party this weekend, and Harrison couldn't take his eyes off the band. Here is just a snapshot of some of his moves.

My silly son

I don't know why Harrison decided to put my underwear on his head, but I couldn't help but take a picture. I'm sure someday he will be upset with me, but I will worry about that later. He is so silly! He is at such a great age right now. He is talking, and playing peeks, and he has such a contagious laugh.

Nightmares or night terrors

Harrison has been struggling with sleep since he was a little baby. Even at 16 months it is rare for him to sleep through the night. He regularly wakes up at about 5am screaming and whimpering. It is a difficult thing to listen to as a mother. I have taken to bringing him into our bed and rubbing his back and talking in soothing tones in his ear. It seems to help, but he still wakes up and screams and tosses. I have also noticed he is beginning to talk in his sleep. Why is something that is so needed for kids, so difficult sometimes?

Dress-up

Harrison is starting to enjoy playing dress-up. This astronaut outfit is one of his favorites. This outfit was one of his daddy's when he was a young boy.

My first blog adventure

Well, I am starting my first blog. Who would have imagined I would be putting myself out there on the internet. I hope everyone enjoys hearing about our adventures in life. Having a 16 month old does see to make life a lot more exciting than it used to be.
