Apple picking

Our family tried something new this fall. We went apple picking and had a great time. We had so much fun, we ended up going home with 25 pounds of apples. The kids found so many good ones. We have a new addition to our day to day adventures. I am watching a friend of mines little girl. We are having a great time, and trying to find as many things as possible to keep us busy. The kids loved picking apples. The only problem we had was trying to convince them to pick the apples off the trees, and not the ones from off the ground. The next time you are at our house, don't be surprised if you get to eat some apple pie, or muffins or bread, or apple sauce. I think we will be set for a while.

Corbin at Two Months

I took my "little" man to the doctor this week for his two month checkup. He is doing quite well. He is currently 23.5" tall(65%), 14lbs. 2oz.(90%), and has a head circumference of 38.5cm(14%). Yes he has a tiny head, but it is growing. He is all body complete with man boobs and a double chin. What can I say, he is a good eater! I hope to post some pictures within the next couple of days. Life at home is chaotic, and not for the faint of heart. I love the time I get to spend with my boys and Rob, but I have a feeling I will be buying hair dye on a more regular basis!

My handsome boys

I feel truly blessed to have such beautiful, healthy boys. What a wonderful summer I had watching Harrison and Corbin getting to know one another! I look forward to many more memories and milestones this fall. For those of you who don't know, I made the difficult decision to quit my job at Little Chute Elementary School. I am excited to make this next step in my life of being a stay at home mom. Please pray for my family as we begin a new adventure and try not to drive each other crazy!

My baby is 1 month old!

I can't even believe that Corbin has been a part of our lives for one month already. I have to say having two was not as difficult as I thought it would be. Don't get me wrong. Some days are definitely a challenge, especially with a very strong willed two year old. What makes it easier is knowing what is coming and being more relaxed about taking care of an infant, because you know you will get through it eventually. I know I am not as patient as I should be with Harrison sometimes, but I am working on it every day. The biggest challenge I have is maintaining an organized house. There are just not enough hours in a day! It is exciting and yet a little sad to see Corbin growing so fast, because I know he is my last baby. And no I won't be changing my mind about that!

For those of you that aren't on facebook (myself included)

I know some of you have already heard the news and all the details, but those of you who follow my blog deserve to know too. My sassy baby boy decided he did not want to wait any longer and started giving me grief on Wednesday. I started having cramping at 6am Wednesday morning. Not ever having had contractions with Harrison, I wasn't quite sure what my body was doing. I had my regular appt. that day, so I called the nurse and asked if she wanted to see me any earlier. She decided to put me on the monitor at 1:30. (1/2 hour b4 my appt.) I started timing my contractions and found they were coming every 5 minutes and lasting about 30 seconds a piece. At the doctor they put my on the monitor and found my contractions were now coming every 3 minutes and they were pretty intense. At this point the nurses eyes got quite large and she ran to get the doctor. The doctor checked me and found that I was 3cm dialated and 80% efaced. The doc looked at me and said, "How would you feel about having a baby today?". I'll tell you what I felt. AHHHHHH! Anyway, I walked over to labor and delivery and got myself prepped for surgery. Corbin Robert Buettner was born at 4:06pm on Wednesday, June 24th. He was 7lbs. 7oz. and 21" long. Not bad for being 3 weeks early. Both of us are doing fine and we would love to see any and all of you if you are willing to put up with a two year old who is adjusting to life that does not revolve around him any more. Here is some of Corbin at the hospital. More pics to come later.

More pee than one person can handle!

I am so proud of my little man. He is growing up so fast. He is now wearing underwear all day long and peeing on the potty. Except for a few pooping issues, I would say we are on our way to being 100 percent potty trained. I am so glad because baby number two will be here in 3 short weeks. As happy and as proud as I am, I can't help but be frustrated. Boys have terrible aim. I clean more pee off the floor, toilet seat, and wall than I care to. My son is also so independant that he insists he must do it "by mineself". I feel for all of you with sons out there. You'll have the cleanest bathroom floor around when you have to clean it every couple of hours.

You asked for it!

I hope you all enjoy the picture you asked to see. This picture was taken today at Appleton Public Library. We were having a treat day at the library and the theme was Prom Night. All the ladies thought it would be fun to have a "knocked up" prom queen. By default, I won the prize. Hope you enjoy this lovely image of me. I will try to take a more appropriate one soon.

I've been MIA

Wow it has been a long time since I posted a blog. What can I say, working two jobs and preparing for two kids does not leave me a lot of time in a day. I just wanted you to know that our family is doing great. Rob is back working on the engine and couldn't be happier. I have 12 days left of school and I cannot wait. I think we could all use a break from school. Harrison grows bigger, smarter, and sassier everyday. I thank my luck stars that I got pregnant before the terrible twos set it, because otherwise Harrison might have been an only child!:) On the baby front, things are going well. I just keep getting bigger and bigger with each passing day. I am now 32 weeks along, and depending on the day, people think I either look like a cute pregnant lady or a women who is about to give birth to multiples any day. People can be so kind. As far as things go, the baby is healthy and kicking me happily. Also for those of you who keep track of such things, I just found out that my baby is scheduled to arrived on 07/08/09. I will be going into surgery at about 7:30am. Please pray that all goes well with the delivery, because the first time wasn't the most pleasant of experiences for me. I plan to post some pictures of Harrison out and about before the weekend, so stay on the edge of your seats. Two posts in one month!:)

Hello all! I just wanted to share the news of my most recent ultrasound. Rob and I will soon be the proud parents of two wonderful rambunctious BOYS! The ultrasound looks good and the baby is healthy. I can't wait for the boys to meet eachother and be able to play together. I will post the pictures as soon as I scan them in.

Harrison's 2 year/Valentine's pictures

I can't believe how fast kids grow up. Everyone says it but it is difficult to believe it unless you see it first hand. I am so thankful that I have such a wonderful husband who takes such good pictures of my son! It has sure saved us a bundle on going to the studio for pictures. I find myself these next few days with some extra time on my hands so don't be surprised if you see more blogs from me. Rob found out yesterday that he may have whooping cough and we have been confined to our house for at least the next couple of days! Please pray that our family continues to get healthy and that we survive being trapped together for the next 5 days.

Happy Valentines Day!

I can't believe how long it has been since I posted. I am a terrible blogger. I hope to get better in the future. I wanted to wish you all a very Happy Valentines Day filled with lots of love and laughter. Harrison is getting to be such a big boy these days, filled with lots of words and attitudes. This morning he was my big helper and helped me make Valentines breakfast for Daddy. I cherished these memories with him, because time is flying by so fast.
